Polyurethane combines the best properties of plastic and rubber. It has high tensile properties such as rubber and abrasion resistance, superior to PVC hoses. As a simple example, you can take a sleeve made of polyurethane with a wall 0.5 mm thick and it will last several times longer than exactly such a PVC sleeve 1.5 mm thick.
Polyurethane has a natural elasticity and does not use additives to maintain its bending properties. It is also more resistant to cuts than most other thermoplastics. In addition, the polyurethane itself is very light, resistant to ultraviolet and short-term temperature up to 90C degrees.
